The homeowners had a large, unfinished basement that no longer fit their family’s needs as their children grew older. They wanted one space that could handle recreation, fitness, entertaining, and overnight guests, all anchored by a golf simulator. The biggest obstacle was ceiling height. The basement was not tall enough to swing a golf club, which meant the simulator could not work within the existing structure.

To make the golf simulator possible, Elevation Basements brought in structural engineers and excavated the basement floor to create the clearance needed for a full swing, scheduling the work while the family was out of town so they never had to be home for the jackhammering.
The rest of the basement was designed as one cohesive, high-end space built around how the family lives, with the wet bar and dry-stack stone entertainment center anchoring the rec room, the gym and sauna doubling as a personal retreat, and the guest suite giving visitors a comfortable place to stay. Today the homeowners use the space morning, day, and night.
